Dominican Republic Mission
Beginning in 1999, with the direction of the Rev. Canon
William D. Small, who had begun this effort in other places,
St. Eustace sent its first mission team to the Dominican Republic.
Since that time, a Medical/Construction Team has gone out from here each year.
Although it is a co-ordinated effort now of many parishes in the Diocese of Albany,
it is headed up and directed by Robin Baxter, of St. Eustace
Parish. If you would care to be part of this mission, either
monetarily, or by actually going with the Team, please contact
Robin at 518-523-9472, or at robinmac30@yahoo.com
"HELP US TO HEAL THOSE WHO ARE BROKEN IN BODY OR SPIRIT"
The Mission Statement of the Dominican Republic Mission Team
We are an interdenominational group of dedicated volunteers. We are physicians,
physicians assistants, nurse practitioners, registered nurses, clergy, technicians,
interpreters, students, and the support personnel for all of the above. We come
together to share our love and concern for the poor, the sick, and those in need in
the Dominican Republic. We provide primary health care and education to some of
the world's poorest people, who otherwise could not afford it. But most
importantly, it is a mission of Love, Hope, and Spiritual Healing which we bring to
our brothers and sisters in the Dominican Republic.
